Amazon Its Ring doorbell division will begin selling surveillance trailers designed specifically for monitoring parking lots and outdoor spaces, marking the home security division’s latest foray into the commercial products sector. Unveiled at the CES trade show in Las Vegas, the Ring Mobile Security Trailer features 360-degree coverage cameras, wireless connectivity, and a solar-powered option.Since the pandemic, such towable camera units have become a common sight outside big-box stores, shopping malls, and construction sites, creating a highly competitive market. These trailers typically feature conspicuous cameras and flashing lights, designed to make their presence known and create a police-like deterrent.Ring founder Jamie Siminoff stated that the company plans to bring these products to the general public at a more affordable price, with a launch expected “this spring.” Ring also unveiled a series of sensors priced between $30 and $70 to monitor door and window openings, smoke, water leaks, and air quality. These devices will utilize the Amazon Sidewalk wireless network for communication.
