According to the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the Municipal Major Projects Office, in 2025, investment in Shanghai’s major projects reached 251.01 billion yuan, representing 104.6% of the annual plan and a year-on-year increase of 5.3%, marking the fourth consecutive year of sustained growth exceeding 200 billion yuan. During the year, construction commenced on 30 projects (exceeding the plan by 16 projects), and 30 projects were substantially completed (exceeding the plan by 9 projects). (Shanghai Release)
