Eight government departments, including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, have issued the "Implementation Guidelines for the 'AI+Manufacturing' Special Action," which calls for accelerating the upgrade of smart devices. The guidelines support technological breakthroughs in edge computing models and application toolchains, and aim to foster the development of AI-enabled devices such as smartphones, computers, tablets, and smart home devices. Focusing on key scenarios such as industrial inspections and telemedicine, the plan aims to accelerate the industrialization and commercialization of new types of terminals, including augmented reality/virtual reality (AR/VR) wearable devices and brain-computer interfaces. It also seeks to promote innovation in embodied intelligence products, establish pilot production bases and training grounds for humanoid robots, create benchmark production lines for humanoid robots, and prioritize their application in typical manufacturing scenarios.
