Bitcoin Core has added a new trusted key holder with commit access
Svmuu News: Bitcoin Core maintainers have increased the number of trusted key holders with permission to submit to the main branch for the first time since May 2023. On January 8, 2026, developer TheCharlatan joined the ranks, bringing the total number of trusted key holders to six. The other five members are Marco Falke, Gloria Zhao, Ryan Ofsky, Hennadii Stepanov, and Ava Chow. TheCharlatan is a graduate of the University of Zurich and is primarily responsible for Bitcoin Core’s reproducible build and verification logic.
