Svmuu News: According to monitoring by PeckShield, cryptocurrency-related thefts reached an all-time high in 2025, driven primarily by systemic vulnerabilities in centralized infrastructure and a strategic shift toward targeted social engineering attacks.Total losses in 2025 exceeded $4.04 billion, an increase of approximately 34.2% from the $3.01 billion stolen in 2024.This includes: $2.67 billion in losses from hacking attacks (an increase of approximately 24.2% year-over-year) and $1.37 billion in losses from scams (an increase of approximately 64.2% year-over-year).Of this amount, approximately $334.9 million in stolen cryptocurrency has been recovered or frozen, compared to $488.5 million in 2024.
