The report shows that as of January 7, 2026, the physical gold reserves corresponding to XAUm consisted of 482 LBMA-compliant 1-kilogram gold bars, with a total weight of 482 kilograms (approximately 15,595.336 ounces), representing an increase of 61 gold bars compared to the previous audit. This audit was conducted by an independent third-party organization, which verified the weight, purity, serial numbers, and custody records of each physical gold bar in accordance with gold ETF audit standards. The gold is stored at Brink’s in Hong Kong, Brink’s in Singapore, and Malca-Amit in Singapore. Matrixdock stated that XAUm combines semi-annual physical audits with on-chain verification tools to ensure a verifiable correspondence between the token supply and physical gold reserves, while enhancing the transparency and verifiability of relevant information.
