Svmuu News: Three Democratic members of the U.S. House of Representatives have written to U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Paul Atkins, requesting an explanation regarding the SEC’s suspension of the enforcement case against TRON founderJustin Sun.Representatives Maxine Waters, Brad Sherman, and Sean Casten stated that the prolonged suspension of the case could undermine investor confidence in the regulator’s independence and credibility. In the letter, the lawmakers pointed out that the SEC has recently initiated or pursued the suspension or dismissal of multiple crypto-related enforcement cases, including those involving Binance, Coinbase, and Kraken, and questioned the agency’s enforcement priorities and effectiveness.Regarding the Justin Sun case, the SEC requested a court stay in February of this year to seek a potential resolution, a process that has now lasted approximately 11 months. The lawmakers also referenced the token transactions of Justin Sun and World Liberty Financial, demanding that the SEC preserve and provide all documents and communication records related to the suspension of that case. The SEC has not yet publicly responded to these inquiries.
