Svmuu News: Seventeen years ago today, on January 17, 2009, Satoshi Nakamoto released the first version of the Bitcoin client, v0.1—known as Bitcoin v0.1 Alpha—which allowed anyone to run their own node from any computer.Reportedly, the source code for Bitcoin0.1.0 also included an Internet Relay Chat (IRC) client, designed to create a simpler method of message relay.It also included a framework for creating a virtual poker game, which was added to the Bitcoin version on April 16, 2008, and was completely removed after the Bitcoin 0.8.2 version.
