Modi posted on X, stating that he was “deeply concerned about the escalation of tensions, the loss of civilian lives, and damage to civilian infrastructure,” adding that “the safety and security of Indian citizens, as well as ensuring the unimpeded transit of goods and energy, remain India’s top priorities.” He did not specifically mention maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.
