Indian Prime Minister Modi spoke by phone with the Iranian president to discuss ensuring the safe passage of oil tankers
Svmuu News: Indian Prime Minister Modi spoke by phone with Iranian President Pezeshchiyan to discuss the “grave situation in the region.” India is currently seeking ways to ensure the safe passage of oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz. Modi posted on X, stating that he was “deeply concerned about the escalation of tensions, the loss of civilian lives, and damage to civilian infrastructure,” adding that “the safety and security of Indian citizens, as well as ensuring the unimpeded transit of goods and energy, remain India’s top priorities.” He did not specifically mention maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.
