The United States conditionally relaxes sanctions on Iranian petroleum products for 30 days
Svmuu News The United States approved a 30-day authorization on March 20 local time, conditionally relaxing sanctions on Iranian petroleum products. For Iranian crude oil and petroleum products that had been loaded onto ships by March 20, their delivery and sale are permitted. U.S. Treasury Secretary Besant stated that the Treasury Department is issuing a "narrowly scoped, short-term authorization" allowing the sale of Iranian oil currently stranded at sea. By temporarily releasing existing oil supplies, the United States will quickly provide approximately 140 million barrels of oil to the global market. The temporary, short-term authorization is strictly limited to oil already in transit. (CCTV News)
