Svmuu News According to reports, South Korean exchange Bithumb has initiated asset seizure and preservation procedures against relevant users after failing to recover part of the Bitcoin that was mistakenly sent out earlier.
The incident occurred during a reward distribution event in February. The original plan was to distribute a total of 620,000 KRW in rewards to 249 users, but an operational error led to the distribution being made in units of "Bitcoin." Although the platform withdrew the operation within tens of minutes, some users had already completed transactions or transferred assets, resulting in assets worth approximately 12.3 billion KRW failing to be recovered. The platform subsequently contacted users one by one, and while most have returned the funds, some users still refuse to do so.
