Svmuu News: On April 9, Iranian authorities released a nautical chart of the Strait of Hormuz, marking a danger zone in the traffic separation scheme area in Farsi. The official Iranian announcement stated that any oil tanker entering the waterway without permission will be destroyed.
Currently, Iran requires passing shipping companies to pay a high cryptocurrency fee as a toll, set at $1 per barrel of crude oil. Relevant tankers must declare their cargo via email, with the fee determined by Iran's Supreme National Security Council and paid in Bitcoin to circumvent sanctions. Furthermore, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf posted on X, stating that the US has violated the ceasefire plan three times, making continued negotiations unreasonable. Affected by this situation, West Texas Intermediate crude oil prices have risen 3.1% to $97.32, while Brent North Sea Crude prices have increased 3.3% to $97.87.
