This means that the U.S. government's 9.9% stake (approximately 433.3 million shares) purchased in August last year is now worth a total of $54.1 billion, appreciating by more than $45 billion in just seven months.
Previously, on August 22, 2025, the U.S. government directly purchased newly issued original shares of Intel at a price of $20.47 per share, using funds converted under the CHIPS Act.
