According to the statement, the Iranian management scope "extends eastward from the line connecting Iran's Mobarak Mountain and the southern part of Fujairah, UAE, to the line connecting the westernmost point of Iran's Qeshm Island and Umm Al Quwain, UAE, in the west." The statement said that within the above-mentioned scope, all navigation activities of vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz must coordinate with and obtain permission from the "Persian Gulf Strait Authority."
