Svmuu reported that U.S. officials have disclosed to the media that the Pentagon has drawn up a list of targets inside Iran, in preparation for President Trump potentially resuming military actions against the country. However, sources analyzed that any new U.S. strikes would face greater difficulty than before.
According to NBC News, the Pentagon is considering naming the potential renewed military operation "Sledgehammer," with targets including some nuclear facilities that were already struck by U.S. airstrikes in June of last year, such as the Natanz and Isfahan nuclear sites. The U.S. military might also target Iran's strategic oil facilities on Kharg Island, as well as power plants, military command centers, and communication facilities.
According to insiders, many of the previously struck targets in Iran were considered "low-hanging fruit," because they were "either fixed in place or not deeply buried in bunkers." However, targets such as missile launchers and drones have now become more concealed and harder to reach, making locating and precisely striking them more difficult than before. (CCTV News)
