Korean retail investors sold over 1 trillion won in overseas stocks in the first week of June
Svmuu reported on Sunday that South Korean retail investors sold over 1 trillion won in overseas stocks in the first week of June, suggesting they may be returning to the domestic stock market amid record gains led by semiconductor stocks. Data from the Korea Securities Depository (KSD) shows that Korean retail investors recorded a net sell-off of $793.67 million in overseas stocks during the first week of June, continuing a trend that began in April. This figure far exceeds April's net sales of $469 million and approaches the record of $939.77 million set in May. If this trend continues through the end of the month, it would mark the third consecutive month of net selling, the first such streak since April-July 2023. (Yonhap)
