Svmuu reported that Trump stated there are currently no plans to withdraw US troops from the Middle East, even though he believes Iran’s defensive and offensive capabilities have been severely weakened, and the temporary ceasefire agreement is fragile and frequently violated. “We have completely destroyed their military power,” he said. “They still have some missiles and drones.” He also added that he believes Iran now possesses only “21% to 22%” of its pre-war missile stockpile. However, this does not mean the 50,000 US troops deployed to the region will return home soon.
Trump said, “It costs very little to keep them there.” He later added, “I think it would be foolish to do so (withdraw US troops) because we might be able to use the stationed troops” to force Iran to make concessions at the negotiating table. (Jinshi)
