AI server brokerage platform Hydra Host raises $100 million in funding led by Kindred Ventures
Svmuu News: Hydra Host, a data center software startup and AI server brokerage platform, has raised $100 million in funding, bringing its post-money valuation to nearly $800 million. The round was led by Kindred Ventures (a venture capital firm). Other investors in this round include Nvidia, ARK Invest, Magnetar Capital (an early investor in CoreWeave), and existing shareholders Founders Fund and Flume Ventures. Founded in 2021, Hydra Host initially served crypto miners but has since shifted its focus to providing automation software for data center operators, enabling them to rent out idle Nvidia AI server computing power and operate a GPU matching marketplace that connects GPU owners with renters. The company currently deploys its technology in 50 data centers worldwide, an expansion from 30 in February of this year. (The Information)
