Svmuu News: According to a report by the Iranian media outlet Fars News, sources familiar with the matter revealed that Iran’s Supreme National Security Council approved the resolution based on a precise, step-by-step “interpretative theory” during its review of the recent memorandum of understanding. This theory highlights the U.S.’s history of bad faith and breach of agreements and outlines specific implementation arrangements to address any delays or violations. It is reported that within this “interpretative theory,” Iran has established a corresponding “implementation step” for each of the other party’s obligations. In other words, the Council’s resolution is based on the principle of phased and conditional implementation, meaning that Iran will only take corresponding reciprocal measures upon the actual and complete fulfillment of each of the U.S.’s obligations. Otherwise, if any provision remains unfulfilled, Iran’s corresponding steps—including the suspension of its own obligations—will be immediately activated. (Jin Shi)
