TSMC Up nearly 2% in pre-market trading, Apple's A22 Pro may use its 1.4nm process
Svmuu News: AI chipmaker TSMC rose 1.7% in premarket trading to $433.1.According to reports, Apple’s next-generation flagship chip, the A22 Pro, may be manufactured using TSMC’s 1.4-nanometer process and is expected to launch in 2028. This will be Apple’s first system-on-a-chip (SoC) to use this process and may debut in the 2028 high-end iPhone models.According to data previously disclosed by TSMC, compared to the 2nm process, the 1.4nm process can deliver approximately 15%–16% higher performance at the same power consumption, or reduce power consumption by approximately 27%–30% while maintaining the same performance.
