Specter: THORChain’s downtime of over a month has raised questions; currently, there are almost no transactions on the entire chain
Svmuu News: On-chain security researcher Specter posted on X, stating that it has been over a month since THORChain suspended all transactions due to a security incident, and normal operations have yet to resume. The protocol had previously chosen not to suspend trading during other security incidents or suspicious fund flows—continuing to operate even for simple ETH-BTC routes—but after becoming a victim in this incident, it completely halted cross-chain transactions, sparking community discussion about the consistency of its risk management. Currently, on-chain transactions on THORChain remain at a complete standstill, with virtually no transactions taking place on the chain. A timeline for resumption has not yet been specified, and the community has been advised to “remain vigilant.”
