The "Qiantang" rocket is here! Construction has begun in Qiantang on China's first offshore rocket recovery and reuse base.
Today, the banks of the Qiantang River once again resounded with the powerful call of development. As the foundation piles were firmly driven into the ground, construction officially began on Jianyuan Technology’s assembly, testing, and recovery-reuse base for medium-to-large liquid-fueled launch vehicles in Qiantang. Xu Jin, Member of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of the New District, as well as Member of the District Party Committee and Deputy District Governor, attended the ceremony. This marks the official launch of China’s first production base for sea-based rocket recovery and reuse, as well as the country’s first “super factory” for stainless steel rockets. According to reports, Jianyuan Technology’s production, testing, and final assembly base for medium-to-large liquid-fueled launch vehicles comprises a recovery and reuse center, a testing and inspection center, and a manufacturing center. With a total investment of 5.2 billion yuan, the facility will have the capacity to mass-produce 25 rockets annually upon completion. (Qiantang Release)
