The General Office of the Guangzhou Municipal People’s Government has released the “Guangzhou Plan for Accelerating the Development of an Advanced Manufacturing Powerhouse (2024–2035).” The plan states that the city will continue to promote the design, manufacturing, and packaging and testing capabilities of automotive chips—including computing, control, storage, analog drive and power, communication and interface, sensor, and power chips—to enhance the security of the industrial and supply chains. Targeted efforts will be made to facilitate collaboration between chip manufacturing and design companies and automotive manufacturers in the packaging, testing, and certification of automotive chips—including highly reliable microcontrollers (MCUs), artificial intelligence chips, power control and management chips, advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) chips, and automotive audio-video/ infotainment terminal chips, accelerate the improvement of related supporting service capabilities, and promote the large-scale application of domestically developed and controllable automotive chips; driven by automotive manufacturers’ applications, enhance related supporting service capabilities, and promote the large-scale application of domestically developed and controllable automotive chips.
