Guangzhou: Improving the network of ground-based takeoff and landing facilities to cover a range of aircraft types and scenarios, including general aviation airports, vertical takeoff and landing sites, and logistics distribution hubs
Guangzhou has issued the "Guangzhou Plan for Accelerating the Development of an Advanced Manufacturing Powerhouse (2024–2035)." The plan states that the city will improve its network of ground takeoff and landing facilities by constructing a network of low-altitude general aviation airports, vertical takeoff and landing sites, and logistics distribution stations capable of supporting the storage, takeoff, landing, charging, and maintenance of various types of low-altitude aircraft, covering multiple aircraft models and scenarios. The city will build a low-altitude intelligent network by improving the construction of supporting infrastructure networks for communication, navigation, and surveillance. It will accelerate the integration of technologies such as 5G and 5G-A (integrated communication and sensing), Beidou, satellite internet, Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B), and radar, and improve the supporting infrastructure network for low-altitude communication, navigation, surveillance, identification, meteorology, and countermeasures.
