Officials stated that 2026 has been designated as the “Year of the Creator,” with the platform prioritizing long-form content such as articles and planning to launch a more detailed Creator Studio earnings dashboard. The announcement revealed that X will distribute an additional $1 million in rewards to the top-performing original articles in the next round of earnings. Eligible articles must be original content with a minimum of 1,000 words. The primary evaluation criterion is exposure on the home timeline, and participation is limited to U.S. users. Articles that violate platform policies or contain hate speech, fraudulent, or manipulative content are ineligible. Eligible articles must be published between January 16 and January 28.
