xAI Signs Agreement with the U.S. Department of Defense Allowing the Use of Grok in Classified Systems
Svmuu News: Elon Musk’s AI company xAI has signed an agreement allowing the U.S. military to use its AI model, Grok, in classified systems. Previously, only Anthropic’s Claude model was available for classified systems, but the two parties became embroiled in a dispute after Anthropic refused to relax security restrictions and rejected the U.S. Department of Defense’s requirement that the model be used for “all lawful purposes.” xAI has agreed to these standards, and the U.S. Department of Defense is accelerating negotiations with Google and OpenAI, requiring that their models, Gemini and ChatGPT, also comply with the “all lawful uses” guidelines when entering classified environments.
