The Israeli military says it fired "warning shots" into Lebanon
The Israel Defense Forces said on the 24th that its troops had fired warning shots toward the Lebanese side in southern Lebanon that day. IDF spokesperson Ella Vavia said on the 24th that earlier that day, the IDF had detected Lebanese soldiers setting up an “uncoordinated” military outpost near an “IDF operational area” in southern Lebanon. The IDF subsequently “issued a warning” to the Lebanese Army through “liaison channels,” demanding that the Lebanese Army “cease its activities.” After receiving “no response,” the IDF fired “warning shots” at them.
