Paul Chan: Establishing Hong Kong's First Overseas National Manufacturing Innovation Center
Paul Chan, Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, delivered the government’s budget for the 2026–2027 fiscal year today (the 25th). Chan stated that the SAR Government is committed to implementing the “Cooperation Agreement on Developing New-Quality Productive Forces and Promoting New Industrialization” signed with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China to foster industrial cooperation. The SAR Government will set aside approximately HK$220 million to establish the first overseas National Manufacturing Innovation Center in Hong Kong. (Greater Bay Area Voice)
