Shanghai: Expanding Home Purchase Support for Families with Multiple Children
Five departments—including the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Municipal Housing Administration Bureau, the Municipal Finance Bureau, the Municipal Taxation Bureau, and the Municipal Housing Provident Fund Management Center—jointly issued the “Notice on Further Optimizing and Adjusting the City’s Real Estate Policies,” which states that the scope of home purchase support for families with multiple children will be expanded. The scope of the housing provident fund loan support policy has been expanded from the purchase of a first home to include the purchase of a second home. Specifically, for families with multiple children purchasing a second home, the maximum loan amount will be increased by 20% above the city’s standard maximum loan amount.
