According to statistics from China’s customs authorities, China’s total imports and exports with Germany reached 1.51 trillion yuan in 2025, a 5.2% increase from 2024. Exports to Germany amounted to 664.3 billion yuan, while imports from Germany totaled 846.3 billion yuan. Germany remained China’s largest trading partner in Europe, while China regained its position as Germany’s largest trading partner after a one-year hiatus. In terms of specific products, imports and exports of mechanical and electrical products between China and Germany reached 1.07 trillion yuan in 2025, a 5.8% increase from 2024, accounting for 70.8% of the total trade volume between the two countries. Of this total, imports and exports of automobiles and their parts amounted to 131.5 billion yuan, accounting for 12.3% of the total trade in electromechanical products; imports and exports of electronic components, computers and their parts, and measurement, testing, and analytical instruments were 74 billion yuan, 73.8 billion yuan, and 59.8 billion yuan, respectively.
