In 2025, the growth rate of China-Germany imports and exports exceeded that of China's overall foreign trade by 1.4 percentage points.
Over the past 50 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, economic and trade cooperation between China and Germany has continued to deepen. Data released by the General Administration of Customs on the 25th shows that in 2025, China-Germany merchandise trade totaled 1.51 trillion yuan, a 5.2% increase from 2024, exceeding China’s overall foreign trade growth rate for 2025 by 1.4 percentage points. Exports to Germany amounted to 846.3 billion yuan, while imports from Germany reached 664.3 billion yuan. Germany remained China’s largest trading partner in Europe, while China regained its position as Germany’s largest trading partner after a one-year hiatus. (Xinhua News Agency)
