U.S. Vice President Vance said on February 25 local time that the United States is “hopeful” about the new round of indirect U.S.-Iran talks to be held in Geneva, Switzerland, on the 26th, and hopes to reach a “good solution” through diplomatic channels.Vance said the U.S. position is “very clear”: Iran cannot possess nuclear weapons. He noted that U.S. President Donald Trump prefers to resolve the issue through diplomatic means, but will also deploy U.S. military forces if necessary.
