A whale attempted to launch an ARC attack on the Lighter protocol but failed, resulting in a loss of $5.3 million
Svmuu News: According to Lookonchain’s monitoring, a whale (0x5F64) deposited 8.39 million USDC into Lighter to go long on ARC, establishing a 210 million ARC (20.45 million USD) long position, pushing the price up to $0.15 in an attempt to attack the Lighter protocol by going long on ARC tokens. Subsequently, the ARC price fell, and the long position was liquidated. The whale withdrew the remaining 3.06 million USDC from Lighter, incurring a loss of $5.3 million. Another whale, who had purchased 16.2 million ARC (worth $573,000) two months prior, used a DCA strategy to sell 9.8 million ARC (at $0.115 per token, totaling $1.13 million), retaining a holding of 6.4 million ARC (worth $303,000) and realizing a profit of $861,000.
