Previously, Tether had entered the local market by hiring a South Korean Market Representative, but following that individual’s departure, the company plans to expand its team in South Korea.Industry sources also revealed that Circle has been advancing its business expansion in the region since Circle’s CEO visited South Korea last August.The report noted that South Korea’s upcoming “Digital Asset Framework Act” may require overseas stablecoin issuers to establish branches in the country to distribute tokens in the local market.
