Svmuu News: Several users in the crypto community reported today that their X accounts were locked due to posting content suspected of being advertisements. The primary reason is that “projects featuring referral links are classified as advertisements by X,” so users must comply with the latest “Paid Partnership” rules. However, according to feedback from some crypto influencers, at this stage, users can apply to have their accounts unlocked simply by removing the relevant tweets. According to analysis by the crypto community, all posts suspected of being advertisements must currently use the official “Paid Partnership” label or prominently state “Ad / Sponsored by XXX” at the beginning. Disclosure must be immediately visible, and sponsored content must be explicitly marked; otherwise, posts are highly likely to be deleted or accounts suspended. Long-form posts currently lack an official label, but users can manually add a disclosure in a prominent location. Additionally, based on feedback from the crypto community, Grok analysis indicates that simply sharing crypto views, opinions, and project updates is classified as personal expression and does not count as a “Paid Partnership.” In a previous update, Nikita Bier, X Product Lead and Solana Advisor, clarified that the “Paid Partnership” feature is designed to label commercial promotional content, enhance transparency with followers, and clearly distinguish commercial collaborations from organic content. The X platform encourages creators and brands to engage in commercial collaborations on X, but undisclosed promotional content undermines the platform’s integrity and erodes user trust in the content.
