Svmuu News: Clearstream, DTCC, and Euroclear, in collaboration with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), have released a new industry report proposing a framework for interoperability in the digital securities market. The framework aims to promote connectivity among distributed ledger technology (DLT) markets and ensure that digital securities can flow seamlessly across different platforms and infrastructures. The framework identifies five core elements required for the cross-network operation of digital securities, including standards for asset and liability representation, ownership identification mechanisms, asset lifecycle and transfer protocols, ledger structure coordination, and legal and regulatory compliance. The authors believe that harmonizing these key elements will help maintain consistent ownership records, operational processes, and compliance standards across different distributed ledger infrastructures.
