Svmuu News The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has issued a warning about fraudulent tokens impersonating the FBI on the Tron network, urging users to remain vigilant.
The FBI's New York Field Office stated on social media that users should exercise caution if they receive tokens in their wallets claiming to be from the FBI and must not provide any personal identification information to related websites.
According to disclosed information, this type of scam typically operates based on the TRC-20 token standard. Attackers send so-called "FBI tokens" to users' wallets and, under the pretext of suspected violations of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, threaten to freeze assets, thereby luring users to submit sensitive information to carry out phishing attacks.
The FBI also advises users to report any related suspicious activities through its Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3). It is currently unclear how many users have been affected.
