SEC Approves NYSE American Listing of Multi-Crypto Asset Commodity Trust Options
Svmuu News The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved NYSE American's application for a rule change to list options on multi-cryptocurrency commodity trusts. Previously, only options on single-crypto-asset commodity trusts were permitted for listing. The approval now extends to supporting options on commodity trusts that hold multiple crypto assets. The prerequisite conditions for listing include: each crypto asset held by the trust must individually meet high liquidity standards, with an average daily market value of at least $700 million over the past 12 months, and derivative contracts for that crypto asset must be subject to a comprehensive surveillance sharing agreement with the exchange. Additionally, the trust shares must meet the exchange's initial and continued listing standards for ETF options and must be NMS stocks.
