Caixin: Some Lending Assistance Platforms Seek Second Growth Curves by Investing in the "Crypto Circle" and "Going Global"
Svmuu According to Caixin, under the combined effects of the formal implementation of new lending assistance regulations and a slowdown in consumer credit demand, the revenue and loan disbursement scale of several consumer loan assistance platforms have declined year-on-year, with net profits falling sharply. Some lending assistance platforms are seeking second growth curves such as "going global" and investing in the "crypto circle." It is reported that platforms like Lexin and Yiren Zhike have already deployed overseas businesses, with Southeast Asia and Latin America becoming the main battlefields. WeShare Fintech has been continuously expanding into the blockchain industry over the past two years. In 2024, it indirectly acquired a 15% equity stake in the cryptocurrency exchange Thousand Whales Technology (BVI) Company. Last year, it invested HKD 2.395 billion in EXIO Group, one of the first virtual asset trading platforms licensed by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission. (Caixin Network)
