Société Générale: If the Fed Holds Steady This Year, the Dollar May Remain Range-Bound
Svmuu News Société Générale analyst Kit Juckes stated in a report that if the Federal Reserve keeps interest rates unchanged for the remainder of the year as expected, the US dollar may exhibit range-bound fluctuations. He pointed out that the market expects all G10 central banks except the Fed to raise interest rates. Among G10 economies, only Sweden is projected to have a growth rate exceeding that of the US this year. These interest rate expectations limit the dollar's appreciation potential. Conversely, if the Fed implements significant rate cuts amid high inflation and loose fiscal policy, the dollar is likely to decline. (Jin10)
