Stock markets in the Gulf region rebound, with Dubai's stock index recording its largest gain in nearly a decade
Svmuu According to reports, following a two-week ceasefire agreement reached between the United States and Iran, Dubai's benchmark stock index surged by over 10% at one point, marking its largest gain since 2008. The conflict had previously unsettled Gulf markets and threatened energy infrastructure across the region. The Dubai Financial Market General Index rose by 8.5% at one point, the largest intraday gain since December 2014. After weeks of war-related volatility, investors flocked to real estate and banking stocks. Abu Dhabi's stock market also advanced, with the ADX General Index rising by 3.5% at one point, the largest gain since March 2024. (Jin10)
