On February 25, the Shanghai Municipal Government held a press conference to discuss the progress of preparations for the inaugural exhibition at the Oriental Hub International Business Cooperation Zone and the development of the consumer electronics industry. According to the press conference, The China Home Appliance and Consumer Electronics Expo (AWE) is one of the largest home appliance and consumer electronics exhibitions in China. It will be held in Shanghai from March 12 to 15 this year, with a total exhibition area of 170,000 square meters, bringing together 1,200 exhibiting companies, and featuring a dedicated exhibition zone for the Shanghai Oriental Hub International Business Cooperation Zone for the first time. It is reported that the Oriental Hub International Business Cooperation Zone exhibition area covers 30,000 square meters and will focus on showcasing cutting-edge technological innovations. Leveraging its 15-minute direct access to the Pudong International Airport hub, overseas exhibits can be “conveniently transported into the zone and returned after the event,” while overseas visitors can “step off the plane and start viewing exhibits immediately.” (Securities Times)
