Paul Chan, Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, delivered the 2026–2027 Budget today (the 25th). Chan noted that as the country advances high-level two-way opening-up, mainland enterprises are becoming more proactive in expanding into overseas markets. The SAR Government’s Mainland Enterprises Going Global Task Force will organize promotional activities to attract mainland enterprises to use Hong Kong as a base for expanding overseas. The SAR Government will also establish a cross-sector professional service platform, bringing together Hong Kong professional service providers in fields such as law, accounting, finance, testing and certification, and marketing to support enterprises going global.
