Svmuu News: Recently, South Korea has seen a series of incidents involving vandalism and intimidation carried out by individuals hired by an anonymous Telegram group and paid in cryptocurrency. A suspect arrested by Gyeonggi Provincial Police stated that he received cryptocurrency worth between $300 and $600 to place threatening letters and smear feces in victims’ mailboxes. Separately, on March 1, the Suwon District Court approved the arrest of a man surnamed Lim, who is suspected of defacing walls, scattering food waste, and spraying feces at an apartment complex in Hwaseong. Police in Anyang and Pyeongtaek have also reported similar cases, with suspects in those cases claiming they were contacted via Telegram and paid in cryptocurrency.
